Ratsnakes are in the Colubrid family and range from North and Central America all the way to Asia. Ratsnakes are an easy to keep and breed snake with the breeding season starting in March and going through the end of summer. The ideal temperature for a Ratsnake is 82 degrees with a hot spot of 84-90 degrees. Most species will not exceed six foot in length and readily accept frozen rodents as a food item.
